CARIA. Knidos. Circa 449-411 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 6.12 g, 8 h). Forepart of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to right, wearing taenia and with her hair falling down the back of her neck and tied at the end; all within incuse square. Cahn 90 (V43/R61). HN online 610. SNG Keckman 137 (same dies). Very well centered and with lovely iridescent toning, an attractive example of this very rare issue. Very minor die rust, otherwise, good very fine.
